George is an incredibly kind person. Our first night on the island, I broke my wrist and George brought me to the hospital and helped me greatly during the week. His apartments are very clean and spacious & the grounds are amazing. It's like being in a beautiful tropical forest.

Another Wonderful Holiday

We have been going to Baha-Ammes for the last 14 years, we have always had a wonderful holiday.
George and Ismini and their family have always made sure we have a good time and have everything we need, George has helped us in many ways and been a true friend to us.
The accomodation is good and well equiped and is spotlessly clean (clean linen every 3 days) and the garden in which George has worked so hard is just amazing with plants from all over the world.
We could recommed Baha-Ammes as the ideal centre for a holiday, a few minutes walk from the beach and near to resturants, a quiet restful place to come back to after a day sightseeing or swimming -

On returning home, we remember, with great pleasure, our wonderful holiday in Baha-Ammes Resort.
It was our fourth stay in Baha-Ammes with its fantastic gardens.
How beautiful, after a day past at the sea-side, to take a shower among a lemon-tree, a pear-tree and many exotic flowers !
Georgios and Ismini are so nice and kind and we hope to came back soon to Kefalonia.

We first went to stay with George and Ismini 15 years ago, and would never dream of staying anywhere else, George and his family have been good friends to us and helped us in every way possible.
Baha-Ammes is a beautiful place to stay very relaxing and quiet set in a superb garden which is always full of the most wonderful flowers from all over the world.
The accomodation is very clean and the kitchen has all the utensils necessary to cook a meal for a family, linen changed every three days and a large veranda to relax and enjoy the garden.

Heaven in Kefalonia

We completed our two weeks stay in this little piece of Kefalonian paradise on 22-09-2009. The hospitality and kindness of George and all involved at Baha Ammes has enriched our memories and endeared us to this fantastic place. If you are looking for a holiday base to unwind with gorgeous tranquil gardens as a back drop, we do not think you will find better on the island.

M.Stratiotis est trs accueillant , son jardin superbe : une vraie oasis .
L'appartement est trs propre et frais (Il faudrait cependant changer le frigo trs bruyant et donc gnant la nuit ).
Aller la plage pieds est trs agrable .

it was August 17th, 2009 and we were just arrived in this wonderful place; George was showing to me, my wife and my little baby his garden; it is really amazing...there are plants and flowers coming from different parts of the world and George was proudly describing each of them in details when I got a phone call that my father was dead some hours before. George has had an incredible humanity and sensibility. He helped me in finding immediately a way to be back to Italy, he prepared a room in the fastest way possible in order to let me and my family spending the few hours before our long way back and he was supporting me in any possible way. Apart from the fantastic garden, the clean and wide apartment with its windows and verandas immersed in this paradise and the very nice near beach we have seen before entering into the baha-Ammes I can not say more about the surrondings and the rest but if the beauty of a place can be also measured with the kindness, generosity and humanity of its owner you could not be in a righest place than this!. Thanks again George. Andrea, Elisa e Sara.

We have just returned from yet another fantastic holiday at Baha-Ammes. We have been staying with Georgios and Ismini for eleven years now, every June and September, and each holiday still gets better than the one before. The appartments are clean and maintained to a high standard. We would not dream of staying anywhere else in Kefalonia. The gardens are always beautiful and need to be seen to believed. This is truely a little place of peace and tranquility to stay in.
Thank you George and Ismini for all your kindness and hospitality. Looking forward to seeing you in June next year.

A new face of Greece

In June we were for the fifth time in Greece and for the first time in Kefalonia. We discovered an unspoiled island (at the end of June) with attractive views. One of them is Georgios garden, where we were inspired to stay. It was a really botany lesson! The lemons that we ate from the trees were the best.(We made an acid ascorbic cure).
The pragmatic attraction of the garden were the outside showers with hot water (from under the lemon trees branches). Every day it was dificult to dissociate from that place.
Georgios was a really host, he helped us a lot( with the kaiak trip- very nice-, with the ferry boat) and we met there a very friendly italian family with whom we spent some lovely days. We were at Georgios pension like a big family.

P.S. For Georgios:your flower is doing well, it has some small burgeons... -
Baha Ammes

I just return from Kefalonia where I solo cicumnavigation the island in Kayak. my first and last day I spent in Baha Ammes at Mr. George flats. The houses among an amazing Botanical Garden whuch George and his wife grow. The garden is one of the finest I have ever seen. I would have call it Garden of Eden.
George and his wife are very pleasant people. The place itself locate about 5 minutes walking from the sea shore.
George was also kind enough to let me stay in the place until 20:00 the day I left.
It is for sure a place to be. I couldn't choose a better place for relaxing before and after the long paddling.
I'm sure I'll come again!

In May 2008 we arrived on the beautiful island Kefalonia, in Baha-ammes apartment. The apartments are located in splendid tropical garden, which hosts with big love contain. Before nearest beach 300 m, before taverns and shop approximately as much as beach. The Host Georgios very friendly person, who met us amongst nights in airport, conducted to him, has offered on choice two variants of the accommodations. I recommend this place one, who tired from town put, who wants the silences, tranquilities and beauties. In the night hear the noise of the sea waves; in the morning sing the birds, sometime far yells the cocks. The Island Kefalonia is simply fairy tale, nature simply exciting. On rent car we have detoured whole island, each day swim on new beach, but at day of the departure on value have valued the nearest sandy beach, on which only we were. At the end of the May sea was already rather warm, we swim minimum on 1,5 hours. After Kefalonia we left on Zakynthos, and have immediately understood that Kefalonia is much better for us. Each evening we looked at our liked island from balcony of the hotel with sadness. Many thanks host Georgios for our wonderful holidays in his apartment. Excuse me for my English.

We all had another fantastic stay in "our" appartment. John Sophie and I always feel that we are coming to stay in our second home when we stay with you. The garden was as usual magnificent. I am always sad to leave but have started to count down the days till we will be at Baha Ammes again.

Actually it should be 12 but with our daughter's school exams it has only been 10. THANK YOU.. efaristo poli.. to both Giorgos and Ismini who make us feel as if we are coming home. And to walk around their beautiful walled garden every day and watch the flowers and fruits blossom is amazing,everyday is a unique experience. We look forward to our next visit, to our second home.

Baha-Ammes Apartments are in a wonderful location approximately 3 minutes stroll from Ammes Beach and set in a beautiful garden full of the most glorious Tropical Plants, in the evening the garden is illuminated and it it a magical place to sit and sip a glass of wine or wander and look at the plants.
Each apartment has it's own veranda, are spotlessly clean and have a fully equipt kitchen to enable the cooking of a family meal.
We would give Baha-Ammes the highest recommendation possible.

Our stay at Baha-Ammes was a unique Grecian experience. Staying at the apartments was like staying in mini botanical gardens, with spectacular plant species from all over the world blooming and thriving, and so lovingly tended by Georgios, who without much persuasion, will willingly give you the Grand Tour, showing you 'this species that came from Nigeria' and 'that from Bali.' It was such a contrast to come back at the end of a scorching day at the beautiful local beaches to such a shady, colourful, refreshing oasis. An absolute delight to the senses.
The apartments are modernly equipped to a very high standard and nothing is too much trouble to Georgios if you need anything.
We would definitely go again, and highly recommend it to plantspeople or anyone with the remotest interest in gardens.
