About Kefalonia

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian islands, in western Greece. Famous for the wonderful beaches, the picturesque villages, the lush greenery and the hospitality of the locals, Kefalonia is rated among the most beautiful islands in the country. Visited by people from all over the world, Kefalonia still keeps its calm paces and authenticity. The capital of Kefalonia is Argostoli and lovely towns to visit are Lixouri, Fiscardo, Agia Efimia, Assos, Skala and Sami. The most famous beach is Myrtos, a magnificent coast with exotic blue water and small white pebbles. Antisamos, Ammes, Lourdas, Ai Helis, Xi and Makris Gialos are among the most beautiful beaches on the island, however there are also many other coves to discover. For sightseeing, do not miss the lake cave of Melissani and the cave of Drogarati, two miracles of nature.
